Highgate Hill Real Estate Agent’s Autumn Property Update

Highgate Hill real estate agent Autumn property update show stable market despite virus caution

We’ve had a busy start to the year for Highgate Hill with 9 houses sold.  Coronavirus has definitely caused some buyers to take a breath and watch what will happen, but by the end of March we’d already seen an early increase in the median price to nearly $1.25m. Only 24 were sold through all of 2019 so with 11 homes currently on the market we may be back to our more normal turnover.

The graph will excite local apartment owners with the median price jumping quickly! Some caution: of the 8 sales five were large 3 bedroom+ apartments with the lowest sale just over $700,000 and the highest over $1.6m.

So far we’ve not heard of any forced sales and generally many Highgate Hill apartment owners are simply holding off from going to market at this time. There are just 19 local apartments currently available for sale and only one of those is brand new.

Across Brisbane the early stats show home prices rose a fraction in April and buyer enquiry remains surprisingly strong!
