Each quarter the Real Estate Institute (REIQ) survey their members to determine how many rental homes are currently vacant. It’s the only substantial sample available to give landlords a close measure of Brisbane vacancy rates, so it’s data we always look forward to seeing. In Brisbane’s inner suburbs 96.7 of 100 rental properties were occupied as at the end of June.
The orange band of 2.5% to 3.5% is what the REIQ consider a balanced market, or Goldilocks market. Not too hot, not too cold!
