Brisbane’s home prices rose just 0.6% in April, according to the latest RP Data-Rismark Hedonic Home Value Index. Here’s all their latest numbers:
• The past 12 months saw home prices up 7.9% on the 8 Capital Cities aggregate across Australia
• Brisbane’s homes are now 2.2% higher than at the same time last year (Sydney’s speed of increase in home prices has eased only slightly and is still way out in front with growth of 14.5%)
• The Index reports Brisbane apartment prices snuck back by 0.5% in April, while our houses went up 0.7%
Rental yields for a Brisbane apartment are reported at 5.4%, the 2nd highest in the nation behind Darwin.
